Solve for x:
6 x^2 + 5 x - 4 = 0
The left hand side factors into a product with two terms:
(2 x - 1) (3 x + 4) = 0
Split into two equations:
2 x - 1 = 0 or 3 x + 4 = 0
Add 1 to both sides:
2 x = 1 or 3 x + 4 = 0
Divide both sides by 2:
x = 1/2 or 3 x + 4 = 0
Subtract 4 from both sides:
x = 1/2 or 3 x = -4
Divide both sides by 3:
Answer:  x = 1/2 or x = -4/3
