The correct answer is a. - 17 2x

The reason for this is because in our first expression we have a positive number (2x) and a negative number (-17).

In the a. expression, that is correct we now have a negative number (-17) on the first place, and a positive number (2x) on the second place.

None of the others would be equivalent :)
