Do you believe that people can truly be "the master of [their] fate"? Is there really no

I believe that people are capable of being the masters of their own fate for many reasons. From my experience, I remember that if I had temptation get the better of me, I would’ve surely burned my hand; fate. The quote,
“Under the bludgeonings of chance, my head is bloody, but unbowed” on the 8th line of the poem represents that it may be hard to change your fate/destiny, but it is possible.
‘In my opinion, I do believe that destiny exists, though, I believe that your destiny depends entirely on your fates—I think your fate is what drives you to your destiny.
