Explanation:

Given parameters:

Distance  = 125km

Time taken  = 2hrs

Unknown:

Speed of the car  in km/hr and m/s  = ?

Solution:

Speed is the distance divided by the time taken;

 Speed  = [tex]\frac{distance}{time}[/tex]

So;

 Speed  = [tex]\frac{125}{2}[/tex]    = 62.5km/hr

Now in m/s;

             1000m = 1km

              3600s  = 1hr

So;

      62.5 x km x [tex]\frac{1}{hr}[/tex]  x [tex]\frac{1000m}{1km}[/tex] x [tex]\frac{1hr}{3600s}[/tex]    = 17.36m/s
