Pure water is neutral. What is the appropriate justification for this?

Pure water is neutral in nature and this can be justified via the fact that when water is broken down, it gives equal concentration of acidic (H+) and basic(OH-). This acid and base neutralize each other to for purely neutral form of water. I hope the answer has come to your desired help.
