Answer: y= -3/2x+b

Let’s first rewrite the equation we have

y=2/3x-6

Knowing that the equation is perpendicular to this will only tell us one thing. The slope. When an equation is perpendicular to another, the slope is opposite.

Since the slope here is 2/3, it will become -3/2

Our current equation is now: y= -3/2x+b

Now to solve for b you need another point. You cannot solve for b without a point, and seeing as none was provided to you the equation will remain like this.
