To find the semi circle do the regular formula for a circle but divide it by 2 at the end.

Area of a circle is pi time r squared

3.14 * 2^2 = 12.56 (Remember always follow order of operations or PEMDAS by squaring 2^2 first)

Since its a semi circle divide the area of the circle by 2.

12.56 / 2 = 6.28

To find the area of them both you add both areas together.
