Replace x with 1 number for it to equal each other

First we do [tex]2(1)+4=2(1+1)[/tex], which gives us [tex]2+4 = 2(2)[/tex].

Then we do [tex]6=4 [/tex], and if we subtract one from 6, and add one on 4, we get [tex]5=5[/tex]

So the answer is: 5 = 5.
