Lt does not happer with chrome, vivaldi and edge. Open opera gx find three dots (⋯) at the bottom left look for “ gx features “ check the “ gx control ” box the icon appears in your sidebar now you can adjust memory limits again According to opera's sidebar gx control, opera is using 7 gigs of ram
According to windows task manager, it's 10 go
And according to opera's task manager, it's even more (there is no total shown but it's over 13 go) So i used opera's task manager to clean manually the memory by killing tabs, but obviously this isn't very convenient. Opera gx is using high memory ram in the recent updates (it was fine last month) well looks like we can't use a same tab to watch videos, if you open a video you need to close the tab and open the new video on new tab to reset the memory Hope you fix this memory leak
I have 16gb ram and sometimes i have out of memory message Hello, so i've been using opera gx for about 2 years now and in the recent months, i noticed that in the gx control my ram usage has been over 6 gb, however when i checked in the activity monitor, it showed that opera gx was only using 2.5 gb of ram, is this an issue that they'll fix soon, because it's starting to worry me when suddenly it goes.
